Synopsis

From New York Times bestselling authors Andrews & Wilson, Minotaur is a high-concept reimagining of an ancient legend, perfect for fans of A Quiet Place and Bird Box.

The Minotaur never died.

His death was a myth—a comforting lie told to the world. Asterion, the beast of legend, still walks among us. Immortal, cunning, and endlessly hungry, he hides in plain sight, luring victims into the ancient labyrinth beneath Crete and feeding on those foolish enough to enter.

But this spring break, the hunter becomes the hunted.

Mina, a modern descendant of the labyrinth’s architect, has always been haunted by dreams of the maze. When she inherits her grandmother’s mysterious medallion, she can no longer resist the pull of Crete. Convincing three friends to join her, she sets out on a journey that unknowingly leads them straight into Asterion’s trap.

Now Mina must outwit the immortal beast within his own labyrinth before she and her friends become the Minotaur’s next sacrifice.

nice idea, but poorly executed

the narrarator was fine. nothing special but not much to work with in this. the production was clear but compared to other soundbooth stories, it was lacking. the idea of the story is interesting but it often felt like a bad high school movie story. its a short story and still felt too rushed. i feel like the authors are good enough to have done better and that it it hampers the performance of the narrarator and production. if they ever want to revisit the concept, i will look forward to an improved story from them.
