Eldritch Blackwood Jr. never quite fit the mold of a proper necromancer. Instead of raising armies of the dead, he specializes in bringing beloved pets back to life. But when Eld’s prestigious family forces him to enroll at Bathurst Academy of Post-Mortem Studies, his unlife takes an unexpected turn. Between dodging his father’s ever-growing expectations and navigating the bizarre social landscape of underworld academia, Eld stumbles upon something far more terrifying than final exams — a buried girl in the academy’s graveyard. But Lea isn’t just another restless spirit. She’s an eldritch entity whose missing memories hide apocalyptic secrets. The plot thickens when Eld realizes that sinister forces are at work within the school; and that he just might be the target of their evil plans. Can Eld and his misfit crew of nightkin companions unravel the mysteries of Bathurst all while finding dates to Necropromicon? A stitched-up amalgamation of cozy fantasy and comedic horror, Love, Death, and Other Awkward Spells is about how it’s never too late to find purpose — even if you’re buried six feet under. © 2025 Scott Killian, Ryan Tang ℗ 2025 Soundbooth Theater

Being undead is hard enough without a cosmic girlfriend, a vengeful family, and a city full of shadow creatures watching your every move. Eldritch Blackwood Jr. was supposed to spend his winter break catching up on spellwork, not figuring out the square footage of an apartment that no longer obey Euclidean geometry. But the shadows are growing bolder and the walls between realms are cracking. The cause? Lea, a reality-warping eldritch entity with a soft spot for stray cats... and one very special, very anxious necromancer. With his poltergeist roommate, undead pets, and a heap of unresolved family trauma, Eld has just two jobs. First, keep Lea safe. Second, keep the universe safe from her. Unfortunately, everyone from his unhinged brother to a smirking daemon seems intent on turning his love life into a doomsday prophecy. Necromancy was easier when it only involved dead hamsters. A stitched-up amalgamation of cozy fantasy and comedic horror, Love, Death, and Even More Awkward spells is about how you can always make things better...even when it seems like your fate dial is set to "things always get worse." © 2025 Scott Killian, Ryan Tang ℗ 2026 Soundbooth Theater
