Synopsis
Deep in the bayou of Louisiana, Henry’s life has been shattered. He never expected a second chance, a way to redeem himself. He’s been given an opportunity to return to his family, if he can fight off the evil threatening to take over Anura.
All Henry has to do is understand his new abilities, build a kingdom, and form an army to stand against the impending doom in this new fantasy world.
There’s just one problem…
He has to do it as a frog.

I honestly couldn't finish this. Has nothing to do with the narrator but everything to do with the sound effects guy (Seriously? Sword fight sounds before the fight even starts and then the guys fighting were using clubs and fist not swords? You can even tell the sound is on a loop.) And the MC I really just couldn't stand at all. Now I've gotten books from Soundbooth before I loved but this purchase has put me off using their app from now on since I can't seem to find a refund button. Sadly I think I'll just stick with audible since at least there I may return stories I don't enjoy like this mess

This book is literally a checklist of things I hate, you have
•A angsty angry mc with a edgy past
•Weak characters that are killed off for emotional effect five seconds after introduction
•A world that functions worse then Enron
•Npc levels of intelligence
•Chosen one mc
•World made for mc
•"I'm the chosen one so listen to me as if I was god" levels of self importance
•And so many more

Annoying Hero
Only made it half way through this book. The hero is so frustrating and annoying. I couldn't get into the story because of this. He is always balking at the obvious path and acting put upon. It would have been fine for the first few chapters as he came to grips with his situation, but there is no sign of him changing his poor attitude.
That is too bad as I had high hopes for the unique "frog" theme being something different and fun.

I very much enjoyed this story. Frogs is a different take but was interesting and entertaining. The deep dive effects added to the immersion.
