Synopsis

Men in Black meets Hellraiser in this rollicking mash-up of urban fantasy and cosmic horror from four-time Bram Stoker Award-Winning author Tim Waggoner.

Creatures from dark dimensions infesting your home? Demonic beings trying to drive you insane? Alien gods attempting to destroy your universe?

Just call Maintenance.

This underpaid and overworked secret organization is dedicated to battling forces that seek to speed up Entropy and hasten the Omniverse’s inevitable death.

Neal Hudson is a twenty-year veteran of Maintenance. A surveyor who drives through the streets of Ash Creek, Ohio constantly scanning for the deadly energy known as Corruption. Since the death of his previous partner, Neal prefers to work alone, and he’s not happy when he’s assigned to mentor a rookie.

But they better learn to get alone fast.

The Multitude, a group of godlike beings who seek to increase Entropy at every opportunity, are creating an Atrocity Engine. This foul magical device can destroy the Earth, and they don’t care how many innocent lives it takes to build it. (Spoiler alert: It’s a lot!)

Just another day on the job…

When Maintenance Surveyors Neal and Gina investigate a house saturated with Corruption, they expect the job to be fairly routine. What they don’t expect is for Gina to become psychically bound to a monstrously mutated woman called the Witch Lady. Nor do they expect the Witch Lady’s son Randall to come into possession of a dark tome of unimaginable power called the Insanitarium, which he uses to wreak havoc throughout Ash Creek. And there’s no way they could anticipate the arrival of Neal’s childhood friend Donnie – who thanks to the malign influence of the sinister Mortuum Blade is now the serial killer known as the Ghostmaker, and determined to add Neal and Gina to his long list of victims. Add to this: a visit from Gina’s sister Juliana, who might be a double agent serving the Black Trust; a member of the Multitude known as Bad Jack, who changed the course of both Neal and Donnie’s lives when they were young, and who now seeks to obtain the Insanitarium for his own nefarious ends; an extradimensional trip to the deadly realm called Low Town; and the birth of a very special little girl. It all adds up to one very bad day for Neal and Gina, but in order to get the job done, they’ll have to risk more than their lives. They’ll have to risk their immortal souls. No pressure. Men in Black meets Hellraiser in Book 2 of this rollicking mash-up of urban fantasy and cosmic horror from four-time Bram Stoker Award-Winning author Tim Waggoner.

Rachel Blackburn is back, and she’s more powerful–and terrifying–than ever. She’s now one of the Lightbringers, an ancient race of cosmic beings dedicated to “saving” the Omniverse from the ravenous Gyre by absorbing it into themselves piece by piece. But Rachel doesn’t give a damn about the Lightbringers’ mission. She intends to use her new powers to get revenge on the two Maintenance agents who stopped her from activating the Atrocity Engine–Neal Hudson and Gina Sandoval. And when she’s finished with them, she’s going to destroy Brother Nothing and the entire Multitude. To complicate matters further, Neil and Gina find themselves trapped on a devastated parallel Earth overrun with Aberrants–and where a Kaiju-sized version of Teguzilla lives. If they don’t find a way to win this war, they won’t have a home to return to. Time to roll up their sleeves and get to work . . . one last time. Men in Black meets Hellraiser in book three of this this rollicking mash-up of urban fantasy and cosmic horror from four-time Bram Stoker Award-Winning author Tim Waggoner.
