James Mace

James Mace is an author, historian, and life-long storyteller. He began professionally writing in the early 2000s, penning fitness articles for bodybuilding websites and magazines. His first novel, Soldier of Rome: The Legionary, came about as a cathartic means of escapism while in Iraq from 2004 to 2005. He has since released several dozen books, including more than twenty best-sellers across his two favourite eras: Ancient Rome and the British Empire. Outside of novel writing, James is a Research Historian and Script Writer for the YouTube channel, Redcoat History. Both a semi-competitive athlete and gamer nerd, his hobbies include hitting the gym, road cycling, foothills hikes, obstacle racing, travelling the globe, live theatre (including dabbling in stage acting), video games, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
