Beating About the Bush
Synopsis
Agatha Raisin in Beating About the Bush
Agatha Raisin is about to find herself tangled in yet another mystery when she discovers a severed leg hidden in a roadside hedge. At first glance, it appears she has stumbled upon a particularly gruesome murder case.
But appearances can be deceiving.
Before long, Agatha is hired to investigate allegations of industrial espionage at a local factory where nothing is quite what it seems. What begins as a corporate inquiry soon spirals into a murder investigation filled with secrets, deception, and unexpected dangers.
As if that weren’t enough, a bad-tempered donkey unexpectedly turns Agatha into a national celebrity—only to leave her facing public embarrassment and ridicule.
Meanwhile, Agatha must confront her growing feelings for her longtime friend and occasional lover, Sir Charles Fraith. But romance takes a back seat when the factory case uncovers a deadly truth and places Agatha herself in grave danger.
With her personal life in turmoil and a killer closing in, Agatha must solve the mystery before she becomes the next victim.
