the Good and the Bad
The Good...I took a chance on this as I had already read the entire series and this first book had me mesmerized! The mixing of Magic and Tech, future and Lore! Was an absolute brilliant read.
The Bad...I can not stand the Marshall's voice. It was all wrong for the character. Did the narrator even read the book before doing the voice? And Kesh's narrator, ugh there are no voice inflections. Kesh is sad, happy, angry all the same tone.
The whole narration feels like as if they were bored and forced to do this book which really frustrates me. I would put this book in my top ten for cool world building, original story and all around unexpected, so a great read not so much a listen.
Have to share I have listened to other Deep Dives and they hit the mark. So if you listen and decide, "meh, not for me" definitely try listening to another series or book!
