Interesting concept, novel idea and some quite good parts. Only issue for me is that the female characters, it's as if a 15 boy wrote them. Either only there to be eye candy or are crazy and/or horny, which just isn't for me. The performance, however, was very good. Unfortunately I wont be continuing with the series any time soon.

I picked this book because the title made me laugh. Everybody Loves Large Chests—are we talking about treasure chests or something else? I had to find out. It was narrated by Jeff Hays, which honestly is enough to get me to try almost anything. I ended up loving it so much that I immediately got every other audiobook in the series that I could find on Soundbooth. One of my favorite things about this series is the premise. Reading a LitRPG from the monster’s point of view is such a refreshing change from the usual hero story. Boxxy’s complete innocence and naïveté make him endlessly entertaining. He’s driven entirely by his instincts, and the funniest moments often come from the fact that he has absolutely no idea of the chaos he’s causing. His dumb luck repeatedly *********** into huge consequences had me laughing throughout the series. Jeff Hays is, as always, phenomenal. I’ve never been disappointed by one of his performances, and his narration elevates every project he works on. His character voices and comedic timing make an already funny series even better. If you enjoy LitRPGs and want something that breaks away from the standard “chosen hero saves the world” formula, I can’t recommend this enough. By the time I finished the first book, I already knew I was going to binge the entire series—and then go looking for everything else the author has written. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is wonderfully well written and engaging. The plot is such a fresh take while the humor is top charts. Lovely narration, as always, from the amazing Jeff Hayes. The man could read me the phone book, and I would pay for it.

This is the book that turned me on to Jeff Hayes (pun intened). It can be deeply distrubing but you can’t stop listening - like watching a car crash in slow motion. However Jeff brings this world to life so well, you’ll want to finish this series.

Love this series. Its dark, its hilarious, and the action is so well done. If you jave not listenws to ELLC, you are missing out!

love this book and the whole series, listened to them many times, very well read as always by Jeff. Might not be for everyone but a very entertaining book! 5* from me!
